Petition to Change Lexington Elementary School's Name

To Name Lexington Elementary School
The Charles "Buck" Stewart Elementary School

In recognition and appreciation of the tireless work and devotion of our late friend, coach, teacher and principal, we propose that the Monroe City School Board honor his memory by naming Lexington Elementary for Charles "Buck" Stewart. Lexington is the only elementary school in the Monroe City School District that is not named for an person. We propose, therefore, to give his name to the school where he spent countelss hours and gained the respect and admiration of students, faculty, staff, parents and the Monroe community as a whole.
